Albino Blue Base Arowana

×

From Bey Thuan Wei, Malaysia
The Albino Blue Base Arowana is one of the rarest and most visually striking morphs within the Scleropages formosus family. Combining the genetic rarity of albinism with the already uncommon Blue Base coloration, this variant is coveted by serious collectors and advanced aquarists. Its lack of melanin allows underlying pigments and reflective cellular layers to show through in unusual ways, giving it an ethereal appearance unmatched by standard color morphs.

Extremely rare genetic combination: Albino morphs appear only through highly selective breeding programs or chance genetic expression. When paired with the Blue Base trait—already a selectively bred specialty morph—the result is exceptionally scarce. Only a total of 50 specimens worldwide have been identified, and gives us immense gratitude to have 2 pieces in our collection to share with serious hobbyists or collectors in India.

High collector value: Due to their rarity and delicate early-life care requirements, these arowanas are typically found only in elite collections or among dedicated hobbyists
